On Monday the 10th I will be going to New York for a rally in opposition of New York City Council Bill #371 which seeks to place stricter restrictions on pregnancy centers.
I have visited many crisis pregnancy centers (CPC) all over the country. In fact, I just visited one today in Kentucky and it was beautiful as most of the ones around the country are. The centers are welcoming, warm, and the staff/volunteers are very friendly. They offer great services such as free pregnancy tests, free sonograms, counseling, free prenatal care, food, clothing and referrals for housing. Not only do they care and help the expectant mothers while she’s pregnant, they also help after the birth of the baby. Many offer parenting classes, continued help with baby needs such as diapers, wipes, formula, clothes and yes, sometimes some financial assistance.
In yesterday’s blog I talked about how “women/couples who are pregnant wouldn’t have to be scared or worried about how they would be able to handle having a baby or another baby. There would be plenty of people to offer help and assistance” if abortion ended in America. In fact, they can stop worrying right now because there are already plenty of CPCs in America, outnumbering abortion centers, which are ready, willing and even eager to help them.
Pro-choice advocates want to try and eliminate their existence because they stand in the face of their abortion agenda. They don’t want you to know that there is another choice to abortion. If they present the choices (from their point of view) the women facing unexpected pregnancies won’t really feel that they have a choice. To be perfectly honest, when CPCs present the choices, they are supporting an agenda too, but that agenda is on the side of life, not death. Someone once said something that makes a lot of sense. Oh yeah, it was God when he said, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV)
CPCs help women choose life. Abortion clinics help women choose death.
Choose CPCs that you and your child may live.
